Varāha (default attribution; speaker not explicit in fragment)
It highlights long-distance pilgrimage (anyadeśāgataḥ dūrāt), indicating interregional mobility and the social networks implied by tīrtha culture.
Mathurā is explicitly named; it is widely identified with modern Mathura (Uttar Pradesh).
It frames pilgrimage visitation as a means of moral rehabilitation, expressed through the idiom of becoming ‘free from taint’ (vipāpmāna).
