Sanyasa Upanishad 2: Verse 2
संन्यासं निश्चयं कृत्वा पुनर्न च करोति यः । स कुर्यात्कृच्छ्रमात्रं तु पुनः संन्यस्तुमर्हति॥२॥
संन्यासम् । निश्चयम् । कृत्वा । पुनः । न । च । करोति । यः । सः । कुर्यात् । कृच्छ्र-मात्रम् । तु । पुनः । संन्यस्तुम् । अर्हति ॥२॥
saṃnyāsaṃ niścayaṃ kṛtvā punar na ca karoti yaḥ | sa kuryāt kṛcchramātraṃ tu punaḥ saṃnyastum arhati ||2||
ผู้ใดตั้งความแน่วแน่เพื่อสันนยาสแล้ว แต่ไม่กระทำให้สำเร็จ (และกลับไปทำอีก) ผู้นั้นพึงทำเพียง “กฤจฉระ” คือการชดใช้บาปแบบเคร่งครัด แล้วจึงควรแก่การสละโลกอีกครั้ง
He who, having made the resolve for renunciation, does not (carry it out) again—he should perform only a kṛcchra penance; then he is fit to renounce again.
