पवमान ऋतः कविः सोमः पवित्रमासदत् । दधत्स्तोत्रे सुवीर्यम् ॥

pávamāna ṛtáḥ kavíḥ sómaḥ pavítram ā́sadat | dádhat stotrḗ su-vī́ryam ||

โสมะ (Soma) ผู้ชำระตนเอง ผู้เป็นกวีผู้หยั่งรู้ฤตะ (ṛta) ได้ประทับนั่งในเครื่องกรองอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ (pavitra) แล้ว; และทรงวางพลังวีรบุรุษอันประเสริฐ (su-vīrya) ลงในบทสรรเสริญของเรา.
