Sukta 8.96
तिग्ममायुधं मरुतामनीकं कस्त इन्द्र प्रति वज्रं दधर्ष । अनायुधासो असुरा अदेवाश्चक्रेण ताँ अप वप ऋजीषिन् ॥
tigmám ā́yudhaṃ marútām anī́kaṃ kás ta indra práti vájraṃ dadharṣa | anāyudhā́so ásurā adevā́ś cakréṇa tā́n ápa vapa ṛjī́ṣin ||
แนวหน้าของมารุต (Maruts) คืออาวุธอันคมกล้า; โอ้อินทรา ผู้ใดเล่าจะต้านทานวัชระ (vajra) ของท่านได้? เหล่าอสูร (Asuras) ผู้ไร้อาวุธ ผู้ไร้เทพ—จงเหวี่ยงเขาให้พ้นไปด้วยจักระ (cakra) ของท่านเถิด; โอ รฺชีษิน (R̥jīṣin) ผู้มีม้าขนแปรง จงชำระทางให้พลังแห่งสัจจะดำเนินไป.
