वामं नो अस्त्वर्यमन्वामं वरुण शंस्यम् । वामं ह्यावृणीमहे ॥
Transliteration
vāmáṃ no astv aryaman vāmáṃ varuṇa śáṃsyam | vāmáṃ hí āvṛṇīmahe ||
Translation
ขอความดีงามอันน่าปรารถนาจงมีแก่เรา โอ้ อริยมัน; โอ้ วรุณะ ขอความดีงามอันควรแก่การสรรเสริญจงมีแก่เรา—แท้จริงแล้ว ความดีงามนั้นเราย่อมเลือกและรับไว้ในตน.
