Sukta 8.59
इन्द्रावरुणा यदृषिभ्यो मनीषां वाचो मतिं श्रुतमदत्तमग्रे । यानि स्थानान्यसृजन्त धीरा यज्ञं तन्वानास्तपसाभ्यपश्यम् ॥
índrāvaruṇā yád ṛṣíbhyo manīṣā́ṃ vā́co matíṃ śrutám adattam ágre | yā́ni sthā́nāny asṛ́janta dhī́rā yajñáṃ tanvā́nās tápasā́bhy àpaśyam ||
โอ อินทราและวรุณะ เมื่อในปฐมกาลท่านทั้งสองประทานแก่ฤๅษีทั้งหลายซึ่งมานีษา—ความคิดดลใจ, มติแห่งวาจา, และการสดับที่รับรู้—แล้วบรรดาปราชญ์ผู้มั่นคงได้สร้าง “สถาน” ทั้งหลายขึ้น. และเมื่อเขาทั้งหลายแผ่ขยายยัญออกไป ก็ได้เห็น (สัจจะของมัน) ด้วยตบัส (tapas) คือความร้อนภายในแห่งสมาธิ.
