महान्ता मित्रावरुणा सम्राजा देवावसुरा । ऋतावानावृतमा घोषतो बृहत् ॥
Transliteration
mahā́ntā mitrā́varuṇā samrā́jā devā́v asurā́ | ṛtá-vānāv ṛtám ā́ ghoṣato bṛhát ||
Translation
มิตระและวรุณะยิ่งใหญ่—สองกษัตริย์ผู้ครองร่วมกัน เป็นเทพและเป็นเจ้า—ผู้ทรงฤตะ (ṛta). ท่านทั้งสองประกาศก้องฤตะนั้น ความไพศาลนั้น เพื่อให้วิญญาณได้ยินและรับเอากฎแห่งความกลมกลืนอันชอบธรรม.
