Sukta 8.1
आ त्वद्य सधस्तुतिं वावातुः सख्युरा गहि । उपस्तुतिर्मघोनां प्र त्वावत्वधा ते वश्मि सुष्टुतिम् ॥
ā́ tvā́dya sadha-stutíṃ vāvātúḥ sakhyúr ā́ gahi | úpa-stutir maghónāṃ prá tvāvatú ádha te vaśmi su-stutím ||
โอผู้รวดเร็ว วันนี้จงมาเถิด ในฐานะมิตร สู่คำสรรเสริญอันมั่นคงของเรา. ขอให้คำสรรเสริญใกล้ชิดของเหล่าผู้ให้ทาน (maghon) นำท่านก้าวไปข้างหน้า; แล้วข้าจะได้มาซึ่งบทสรรเสริญอันงดงาม (suṣṭuti) เพื่อท่าน และด้วยถ้อยคำอันชอบธรรมจะสถาปนาพลังของท่านไว้ในหมู่เรา.
