सं यन्मही मिथती स्पर्धमाने तनूरुचा शूरसाता यतैते । अदेवयुं विदथे देवयुभिः सत्रा हतं सोमसुता जनेन ॥
sáṃ yan mahī́ mithátī spárdhamāne tanū́rucā śū́rasātā́ yátáite | ádevayuṃ vidáthe devayúbhiḥ satrā́ hataṃ somasútā́ jánena ||
เมื่อพลังอันยิ่งใหญ่ที่เป็นปฏิปักษ์ปะทะกันด้วยการชิงชัย ท่านทั้งสอง—ผู้ส่องประกายด้วยกายแห่งแสงของตน ผู้ชนะรางวัลของวีรชน—ย่อมก้าวหน้า ในสภาแห่งพิธีบูชา (vidatha) พร้อมกับผู้แสวงหาเทพ จงประหารให้สิ้นซากซึ่งกำลังที่ไม่แสวงหาเทพ โอท่านผู้ซึ่งประชาชนคั้นโสมะ (Soma) ถวาย
