Sukta 7.26
एवा वसिष्ठ इन्द्रमूतये नॄन्कृष्टीनां वृषभं सुते गृणाति । सहस्रिण उप नो माहि वाजान्यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥
evā́ vasiṣṭhá índram ūtáye nṝ́n kṛṣṭīnā́ṁ vṛṣabháṁ suté gṛṇāti | sahasríṇa úpa no māhi vā́jān yūyáṁ pāta svastí-bhiḥ sádā naḥ ||
ดังนี้ วสิษฐะ (Vasiṣṭha) จึงสรรเสริญพระอินทระ (Indra) เพื่อความอุปถัมภ์ของเรา ณ โสมะ (Soma) อันคั้นแล้ว—พระองค์ผู้เป็นพฤษภแห่งหมู่ชน. ขอทรงนำความอุดมแห่งพลังอันพันเท่ามาใกล้เรา; และขอท่านทั้งหลายจงคุ้มครองเราตลอดกาลด้วยสวัสดิภาพทั้งหลาย.
