अपामुपस्थे महिषा अगृभ्णत विशो राजानमुप तस्थुॠग्मियम् । आ दूतो अग्निमभरद्विवस्वतो वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वा परावतः ॥

Transliteration

apā́m upásthe mahiṣā́ agṛbhṇata víśo rājā́nam úpa tasthur ṛ́gmiyam | ā́ dūtó agním abharad vivásvato vaiśvānaráṃ mātáriśvā parā́vataḥ ||

Translation

ในอ้อมกอดแห่งสายน้ำ เหล่าผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ได้ยึดท่านไว้; หมู่ชนเข้าเฝ้ากษัตริย์ผู้มั่งคั่งด้วยมนตร์สรรเสริญ. มาตริศวานในฐานะทูต ได้นำอัคนี—ไวศวานระ—มาจากวิวัสวัต จากแดนไกลโพ้น นำเปลวไฟที่ซ่อนเร้นเข้าสู่สนามแห่งการงานของมนุษย์.
