वक्ष्यन्तीवेदा गनीगन्ति कर्णं प्रियं सखायं परिषस्वजाना । योषेव शिङ्क्ते वितताधि धन्वञ्ज्या इयं समने पारयन्ती ॥

Transliteration

vakṣyántīvedā́ ganīganti kárṇaṃ priyáṃ sákhāyaṃ pariṣasvajānā́ | yóṣeva śíṅkte vitatā́dhi dhánvan jyā́ iyáṃ sámane pāráyantī ||

Translation

ดุจหญิงผู้โหยหา นางเข้ามาใกล้หูครั้งแล้วครั้งเล่า โอบกอดสหายอันเป็นที่รัก; ดุจภรรยาที่ประดับกาย—สายธนูนี้ซึ่งขึงตึงอยู่บนคันธนู พาข้ามพ้นไปในยามปะทะ
