घृतवती भुवनानामभिश्रियोर्वी पृथ्वी मधुदुघे सुपेशसा । द्यावापृथिवी वरुणस्य धर्मणा विष्कभिते अजरे भूरिरेतसा ॥

ghṛtávatī bhúvanānām abhiśríyorvī́ pr̥thvī́ madhudúghe supéśasā | dyā́vāpṛthivī́ váruṇasya dhármaṇā víṣkabhite ajáre bhū́ri-retasā ||

เปี่ยมด้วยแสงแห่งฆฤตะ (ghṛta) อันใสกระจ่าง แบกไว้ซึ่งศรีแห่งโลกทั้งหลาย—แผ่นดินอันกว้างใหญ่และคู่ผู้หลั่งน้ำผึ้ง รูปงาม คือฟ้ากับดิน—ตั้งมั่นด้วยธรรม (dharma) ของวรุณะ (Varuṇa) ไม่รู้ชรา ถูกค้ำแยกออกจากกัน อุดมด้วยพลังเมล็ดพันธุ์ (retas) อันมากมาย
