देवैर्नो देव्यदितिर्नि पातु देवस्त्राता त्रायतामप्रयुच्छन् । नहि मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धासिमर्हामसि प्रमियं सान्वग्नेः ॥
deváir no devy áditir ní pātu devás trātā́ trāyatām áprayucchan | náhi mitrásya váruṇasya dhā́sím árhāmasi pramíyaṃ sā́nv agnéḥ ||
ขอเทวีอทิติ (Aditi) จงคุ้มครองเราพร้อมด้วยเหล่าเทพ; ขอผู้พิทักษ์ผู้เป็นเทพจงช่วยกู้เราโดยไม่หย่อนยาน. เพราะเราไม่สมควรทำให้บทบัญญัติที่มิตร (Mitra) และวรุณะ (Varuna) สถาปนาไว้เสื่อมลง และไม่สมควรตกจากยอดอันมั่นคงแห่งเปลวไฟของอัคนี (Agni).
