ऋतं वोचे नमसा पृच्छ्यमानस्तवाशसा जातवेदो यदीदम् । त्वमस्य क्षयसि यद्ध विश्वं दिवि यदु द्रविणं यत्पृथिव्याम् ॥
ṛtáṃ vóce námasā pṛcchyámānas tavā́śasā jātavedo yád īdám | tvám asyá kṣayasi yád dha víśvaṃ diví yád u dráviṇaṃ yát pṛthivyā́m ||
ข้าพเจ้ากล่าวถึง ṛta (ระเบียบอันเที่ยงแท้แห่งจักรวาล) ด้วยนมสการ และทูลถามด้วยความหวังซึ่งเป็นของท่าน โอ้ Jātavedas (ผู้รู้แต่กำเนิด/เทพอัคนี) เกี่ยวกับความลี้ลับนี้ เพราะท่านสถิตเป็นเจ้าแห่งสิ่งทั้งปวง—ไม่ว่าในสวรรค์มีสิ่งใด และไม่ว่าบนแผ่นดินมีทรัพย์แห่งภาวะและสมบัติใด.
