अधा यथा नः पितरः परासः प्रत्नासो अग्न ऋतमाशुषाणाः । शुचीदयन्दीधितिमुक्थशासः क्षामा भिन्दन्तो अरुणीरप व्रन् ॥
adhā́ yáthā naḥ pitáraḥ párāsaḥ pratnā́so agne ṛtám āśuṣāṇā́ḥ | śucī́d ayan dī́dhitim uktha-śā́saḥ kṣā́mā bhindánto aruṇī́r ápa vran ||
แล้วแต่นั้น ดังที่บรรพชนของเรา—ผู้โบราณกาล—เร่งรุดสู่ ṛta; โออัคนี ขอให้เป็นเช่นนั้นด้วยเถิด พวกเขาบริสุทธิ์ ประกาศถ้อยคำแห่งบทสรรเสริญ จุดประกายเปลวเพลิงสว่างไสว; ผ่าแผ่นดิน เปิดเผยแสงสีแดงเรื่อ และปลดปล่อยให้เป็นอิสระ
