Sukta 4.18
ममच्चन ते मघवन्व्यंसो निविविध्वाँ अप हनू जघान । अधा निविद्ध उत्तरो बभूवाञ्छिरो दासस्य सं पिणग्वधेन ॥
mámac ca ná te maghavan vyáṃso ni-vividhvā́m̐ ápa hanū́ jaghā́na | ádhā ni-viddhá uttáro babhūvān chíro dāsásya sám piṇag vadhéna ||
แม้ต่อเจ้า โอ้ผู้เอื้อเฟื้อ (มฆวาน) ผู้จู่โจมก็มิอาจมีชัย—เมื่อเขาบีบคั้นเข้ามา เจ้าก็ฟาดให้ขากรรไกรของเขาหลุดไป. แล้วเมื่อเจ้าแทงทะลุออกมา เจ้าก็สูงเด่นเหนือกว่า; เจ้าบดศีรษะของทาสะ (Dāsa) ด้วยการฟาดอันชี้ขาด.
