Sukta 4.17
त्वमध प्रथमं जायमानोऽमे विश्वा अधिथा इन्द्र कृष्टीः । त्वं प्रति प्रवत आशयानमहिं वज्रेण मघवन्वि वृश्चः ॥
tvám ádha prathamáṃ jā́yamāno'mé víśvā adhithā indra kṛṣṭī́ḥ | tváṃ práti právatā āśáyānam áhíṃ vájreṇa maghavan ví vṛścaḥ ||
แม้ในคราวบังเกิดครั้งแรก ท่านก็ได้สถาปนาปวงชนทั้งปวงไว้ ณ ที่นี้ โอ้ อินทรา. โอ้ มฆวัน ท่านได้ใช้วัชระผ่าฉีกอหิ—อสรพิษผู้เอนกายนอนอยู่ตามลาดเขาลง—ให้แตกออก และทำให้หนทางโล่งเป็นอิสระ.
