Sukta 4.16
नू ष्टुत इन्द्र नू गृणान इषं जरित्रे नद्यो न पीपेः । अकारि ते हरिवो ब्रह्म नव्यं धिया स्याम रथ्यः सदासाः ॥
nū́ ṣṭutá índra nū́ gṛṇānó íṣaṃ jaritré nadyò ná pīpeḥ | ákāri te harivo bráhma návyaṃ dhiyā́ syāma rathyàḥ sadāsā́ḥ ||
บัดนี้เมื่อท่านได้รับการสรรเสริญ โอ้อินทระ บัดนี้เมื่อท่านได้รับการขับร้อง ขอท่านจงทำให้แรงเร้าและทาน (iṣ) แก่กวีผู้สรรเสริญพองเต็ม ดุจสายน้ำทั้งหลายเอ่อล้น. โอ้ผู้ครอบครองม้าเหลืองอ่อน (harivo) บทพรหมัน (brahman) ใหม่ได้ถูกรจนาขึ้นเพื่อท่านแล้ว; ด้วยญาณทัศนะอันดลใจ (dhī) ขอให้เราสมควรแก่รถศึก เป็นผู้นั่งอยู่เสมอในสหายภาพของท่าน.
