कृधी नो अह्रयो देव सवितः स च स्तुषे मघोनाम् । सहो न इन्द्रो वह्निभिर्न्येषां चर्षणीनां चक्रं रश्मिं न योयुवे ॥
kṛdhī no áhrayo deva savitaḥ sá ca stuṣe maghónām | sahó na índro váhnibhir ní eṣāṃ carṣaṇīnā́ṃ cakráṃ raśmím ná yoyuve ||
โอ้เทพสวิตฤ (Savitar) โปรดทำให้เราไม่เร่งร้อน; และข้าพเจ้าสรรเสริญผู้อุดมในหมู่ผู้ให้ทั้งหลาย. ขอให้อินทระ (Indra) พร้อมด้วยไฟผู้แบกพา วางพลังของชนเหล่านี้ไว้ในเรา—ดุจขอบล้อ ดุจลำแสงที่ถูกคุมให้อยู่ในทางอันถูกต้อง—เพื่อให้การเคลื่อนของเรามีระเบียบและมีชัย.
