अयमग्निर्वध्र्यश्वस्य वृत्रहा सनकात्प्रेद्धो नमसोपवाक्यः । स नो अजामीँरुत वा विजामीनभि तिष्ठ शर्धतो वाध्र्यश्व ॥
ayám agnír vadhryaśvásya vṛtrahā́ sanakā́t préddho námasopavā́kyaḥ | sá no ajā́mīṃr utá vā́ vijā́mīn abhí tíṣṭha śárdhato vādhryaśva ||
อัคนีองค์นี้ของวาธรียศวะ เป็นผู้สังหารวฤตระ (Vṛtra) ผู้ห่อหุ้ม เขาถูกจุดขึ้นมาตั้งแต่กาลดึกดำบรรพ์ และถูกอัญเชิญด้วยนมัสการและเสียงเรียกจากภายใน ขอให้เขายืนคุ้มครองเรา ต่อสู้ทั้งศัตรูใกล้และศัตรูไกล ต่อสู้หมู่กองที่บีบคั้น โอวาธรียศวะ
