येभ्यो होत्रां प्रथमामायेजे मनुः समिद्धाग्निर्मनसा सप्त होतृभिः । त आदित्या अभयं शर्म यच्छत सुगा नः कर्त सुपथा स्वस्तये ॥
yébhyó hotrā́ṃ prathamā́m āyéje mánuḥ samíddhāgnír mánasā saptá hótr̥bhiḥ | té ādityā́ abháyaṃ śárma yacchata sugā́ naḥ karta supáthā svastáye ||
แด่ท่านทั้งหลายผู้ซึ่งมานุ (Manu) ได้ถวายฐานะปุโรหิตผู้บูชา (hotrā) เป็นครั้งแรก—เขาจุดอัคนี (Agni) ด้วยใจ พร้อมด้วยปุโรหิตทั้งเจ็ด—โอ้เหล่าอาทิตยะ (Ādityas) โปรดประทานความคุ้มครองอันปลอดภัยไร้ความหวาดกลัวและที่พึ่งสงบ (śarman) แก่เราเถิด; โปรดทำให้เรามีการไปมาที่ดี และหนทางอันดี (supathā) เพื่อความสวัสดี (svasti).
