Sukta 10.46
प्र जिह्वया भरते वेपो अग्निः प्र वयुनानि चेतसा पृथिव्याः । तमायवः शुचयन्तं पावकं मन्द्रं होतारं दधिरे यजिष्ठम् ॥
prá jihváyā bharate vépo agníḥ prá vayúnāni cétasā pṛthivyā́ḥ | tám ā́yavaḥ śucáyantaṁ pāvakáṁ mandráṁ hótāraṁ dadhire yájiṣṭham ||
ด้วยลิ้นของตน อัคนิ (Agni) นำแรงสั่นแห่งถ้อยคำออกไปข้างหน้า; ด้วยจิต เขาเผยปัญญาจำแนกแห่งธรรมชาติของปฐพี. เหล่าผู้แสวงหาจึงสถาปนาเขาไว้—ผู้ชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ ผู้ผ่องใส—โหตฤ (Hotar) ผู้เปี่ยมรสปีติ ผู้เหมาะยิ่งต่อยัญพิธี.
