Sukta 10.27
वि क्रोशनासो विष्वञ्च आयन्पचाति नेमो नहि पक्षदर्धः । अयं मे देवः सविता तदाह द्र्वन्न इद्वनवत्सर्पिरन्नः ॥
ví krośanā́so víṣvañca āyan pácāti némो náhi pá kṣad árdhaḥ | ayáṃ me deváḥ savitā́ tád āha dru-ánnaḥ íd vanavat sarpír-annaḥ ||
ผู้ร้องก้องเสียงดังออกไปทั่วทุกทิศ; มาตราวัดย่อมปรุงสุก แต่ครึ่งหนึ่งกลับไม่สุกงอมจนเป็นปีก. เทพของข้าคือสวิตฤ (Savitṛ) กล่าวดังนี้ว่า: ‘ผู้มีไม้เป็นอาหารย่อมชนะ; ผู้มีฆี (เนยใส) เป็นอาหารย่อมชนะ’—เพราะโภชนาที่ถูกต้องค้ำจุนการไต่ขึ้น.
