Sukta 10.149
यत्रा समुद्रः स्कभितो व्यौनदपां नपात्सविता तस्य वेद । अतो भूरत आ उत्थितं रजोऽतो द्यावापृथिवी अप्रथेताम् ॥
yátrā samudráḥ skabhitó vyàunad apā́ṃ napāt savitā́ tásya veda | áto bhū́r áta ā́ utthítaṃ rájo 'to dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ aprathetām ||
ณ ที่ซึ่งมหาสมุทรถูกค้ำไว้แล้วแผ่กว้างออกไป—สวิตฤ ผู้เป็นบุตรแห่งน้ำ อปาม นปาต (Apāṃ Napāt) รู้สถานที่นั้น. จากนั้นแผ่นดินจึงบังเกิด; จากนั้นห้วงกว้าง (rajas) ถูกยกขึ้น; จากนั้นฟ้าและดินจึงแผ่ขยาย—ดังนี้โลกทั้งหลายอันมีระเบียบจึงปรากฏขึ้น.
