बीभत्सूनां सयुजं हंसमाहुरपां दिव्यानां सख्ये चरन्तम् । अनुष्टुभमनु चर्चूर्यमाणमिन्द्रं नि चिक्युः कवयो मनीषा ॥

bībhatsū́nāṃ sayújaṃ haṃsám āhur apā́ṃ divyā́nāṃ sákhye cárantam | anuṣṭúbham ánu carcū́ryamāṇam índraṃ ní cikyuḥ kaváyo manīṣā́ ||

เขาทั้งหลายกล่าวเรียกท่านว่า “หังสะ (Haṃsa) — หงส์” ผู้ร่วมเป็นหนึ่งกับพลังอันหลีกเร้น และผู้ดำเนินอยู่ในมิตรภาพกับสายน้ำทิพย์แห่งสวรรค์. ตามอานุษฏุบห์ (Anuṣṭubh) ตามจังหวะที่กำลังก่อกำเนิดและเคลื่อนไหว เหล่าฤๅษีด้วยมณีษา (manīṣā) คือความคิดอันดลใจ ได้รู้จำอินทระ (Indra).
