नाहं वेद भ्रातृत्वं नो स्वसृत्वमिन्द्रो विदुरङ्गिरसश्च घोराः । गोकामा मे अच्छदयन्यदायमपात इत पणयो वरीयः ॥

nāháṃ véda bhrātṛtváṃ nó svasṛtvám índro vidúr áṅgirasas ca ghorā́ḥ | gokā́mā me acchadayan yád ā́yam apā́ta ít paṇayo varī́yaḥ ||

ข้าพเจ้าไม่รู้จักความเป็นพี่น้องหรือความเป็นพี่สาวน้องสาวเลย; อินทระรู้ และเหล่าอังคิรัสผู้เกรียงกราดก็นรู้. อำนาจทั้งหลายผู้ใคร่โคได้พยายามปกปิดข้าพเจ้า; เพราะฉะนั้น โอ้ปณี จงไปให้ไกล—จงถอยไปสู่ระยะอันกว้างไกลยิ่งกว่าเดิม.
