गुहसंवादः · रामस्य रात्रिवासवर्णनम्
Dialogue with Guha: Account of Rama’s Night Halt
तस्मिन्समाविशद्राम स्स्वास्तरे सह सीतया ।
प्रक्षाल्य च तयोः पादावपचक्राम लक्ष्मणः ॥२०॥
tasmin samāviśad rāmaḥ svāstare saha sītayā |
prakṣālya ca tayoḥ pādāv apacakrāma lakṣmaṇaḥ ||20||
บนที่บรรทมนั้น พระรามทรงเอนกายพร้อมพระนางสีดา พระลักษมณ์ทรงชำระพระบาทของทั้งสอง แล้วจึงถอยไปอยู่ ณ ที่ห่างออกไปเล็กน้อย
Rama lay down upon the bed along with Sita. Thereafter Lakshmana, having washed their feet, moved to a distant place.
Respectful service and protection: Lakṣmaṇa combines personal attendance (washing feet) with readiness for duty (withdrawing to keep watch).
Rāma and Sītā settle to rest; Lakṣmaṇa attends them and prepares to guard.
