अयोध्यावासिजनानुरागः · The People and Brahmins Follow Rama toward Exile
स हि कल्याणचारित्रः कैकेय्यानन्दवर्धनः ।
करिष्यति यथावद्वः प्रियाणि च हितानि च ॥७॥
sa hi kalyāṇa-cāritraḥ kaikeyy-ānanda-vardhanaḥ |
kariṣyati yathāvad vaḥ priyāṇi ca hitāni ca ||7||
“เพราะพระภรตะมีความประพฤติอันประเสริฐ เป็นผู้เพิ่มพูนความปีติแก่พระนางไกเกยี พระองค์จะกระทำแก่ท่านทั้งหลายโดยชอบธรรม ทั้งสิ่งที่น่าพอใจและสิ่งที่เป็นประโยชน์แท้จริง”
Bharata, enhancer of the delight of Kaikeyi, possesses an auspicious character. He will do for you everything appropriate, agreeable and beneficial.
Dharma of rulership is defined as doing what is both pleasant (priya) and genuinely welfare-bearing (hita), not merely what is popular.
