Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest
Wherever I be with you is heaven and without, hell. O Rama, recognise this truth, and derive great pleasure in my company.
Dharma includes not obstructing another’s duty: Sītā promises disciplined conduct so Rāma’s exile-vow is not hindered by her presence.
Rāma has raised objections about taking Sītā to the forest; she reassures him that she will not create hardship.
Accountability and restraint—she anticipates practical burdens and vows to prevent them.
