असमञ्जस्तु पुत्रोऽभूत्सगरस्येति न श्श्रुतम्।जीवन्नेव स पित्रा तु निरस्तः पापकर्मकृत्।।।।
asamañjas tu putro ’bhūt sagarasya iti naḥ śrutam |
jīvann eva sa pitrā tu nirastaḥ pāpa-karma-kṛt ||
เราได้ยินมาว่า พระสครมีพระโอรสชื่อ ‘อสมัญชะ’ ครั้นพระบิดายังทรงพระชนม์อยู่ ผู้กระทำกรรมชั่วนั้นก็ถูกพระบิดาขับไล่ออกไป
We have heard that a son, Asamanja by name, was born to Sagara. For his sinful deeds he was banished by his father while he was still alive.
