घृ॒तं ते॑ अग्ने दि॒व्ये स॒धस्थे॑ घृ॒तेन॒ त्वां मनु॑र॒द्या समि॑न्धे । घृ॒तं ते॑ दे॒वीर्न॒प्त्य॑१आ व॑हन्तु घृ॒तं तुभ्यं॑ दुह्रतां॒ गावो॑ अग्ने

IAST Transliteration

ghṛtáṃ te agne divyé sadhásthe ghṛténa tvā́ṃ mánur adyá sáṃ-indhe | ghṛtáṃ te devī́r náptyo ā́ vahantu ghṛtáṃ túbhyaṃ duhratā́ṃ gā́vo agne

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Ghee is for thee, O Agni, in thy heavenly seat; with ghee doth Manu kindle thee this day. Let the divine maidens, the descendants, bring thee ghee; let the cows, O Agni, milk forth ghee for thee.

Translation

ฆฤตะ (ghṛta, เนยใส) มีไว้เพื่อท่าน โอ อัคนี ในที่ประทับสวรรค์ของท่าน; ด้วยฆฤตะ มนุ (Manu) จุดท่านให้ลุกโชนในวันนี้. ขอเหล่านางเทพ ผู้เป็นเชื้อสาย จงนำฆฤตะมาสู่ท่าน; ขอฝูงโค โอ อัคนี จงรีดฆฤตะให้ท่านดุจน้ำ นม.
