Sukta 34
शत्रुनाशनम्। अग्ने॑ जा॒तान् प्र णु॑दा मे स॒पत्ना॒न् प्रत्यजा॑तान् जातवेदो नुदस्व । अ॒ध॒स्प॒दं कृ॑णुष्व॒ ये पृ॑त॒न्यवोऽना॑गस॒स्ते व॒यमदि॑तये स्याम
ágne jātā́n prá nūda me sapatnā́n prátyajātān jātávedo nudásva | adháspadáṃ kr̥ṇuṣva yé pr̥tańyavo 'nā́gasas té vayám áditaye syāma
O Agni, drive forth my rivals that are born, and those born over against me drive away, O Jātavedas. Make for them a lower footing—those contentious folk; but we, being guiltless, would be for Aditi.
โอ้อัคนี จงขับไล่ศัตรูคู่แข่งของข้าพเจ้าที่เกิดแล้ว; และผู้ที่เกิดมาประจันหน้าแก่ข้าพเจ้า โอ้ชาตเวทัส จงผลักไสให้ห่างไป. จงทำให้พวกผู้ก่อศึกผู้ชอบวิวาทนั้นมีที่ยืนต่ำลง; ส่วนพวกเราผู้ปราศจากโทษ ขอให้เป็นของอทิติ.
