อถรรพเวท 6.36 อัญเชิญไวศวานระ-อัคนี ผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งแสงแห่งฤตะ ขอให้มีฆรฺมะ (ความอุ่นคุ้มครอง) ที่ไม่ขาดสาย เพื่อขจัดความหนาว ความอัปมงคล และความเสื่อมของพิธีกรรม จากนั้นบทสวดขยายบทบาทของอัคนีจากไฟเรือนสู่ผู้กำกับจักรวาล—ทรงจัดระเบียบสรรพสิ่ง ปลดปล่อยฤดูกาลให้ดำเนินไปอย่างกลมกลืนกับฤตะ และทรงนำยัญญะให้สำเร็จสมบูรณ์ วรรคสุดท้ายยกย่องอำนาจนี้เป็นรัศมีเอกอธิปัตย์หนึ่งเดียว ที่ซึ่งอัคนีและกามะบรรจบเป็นพลังปกครองเหนือสิ่งที่เคยเป็นและสิ่งที่จะเป็น

ไวศวานระ—ผู้เปี่ยมด้วย ṛta (ระเบียบอันเที่ยงธรรม), ไวศวานระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งแสงแห่งระเบียบ—เราทั้งหลายวอนขอและอธิษฐานถึงความร้อนและความเรืองรองอันไม่ขาดสาย.

स विश्वा॑ प्रति॑ चाक्लृप ऋ॒तूंरुत् सृ॑जते व॒शी। य॒ज्ञस्य॒ वय॑ उत्ति॒रन्
ท่านผู้อยู่เหนือการควบคุมทั้งปวง ได้จัดวางสรรพสิ่งให้เข้าที่ตามควร; ตาม ṛta (ระเบียบอันเที่ยงธรรมแห่งจักรวาล) ท่านทรงส่งฤดูกาลทั้งหลายออกไป และทรงอุ้มชูพลังชีวิตของยัญญะให้ข้ามไปสู่ความสำเร็จสมบูรณ์.
