dhíye sám aśvinā prá ā́vatam no urúṣyā ṇa urujmán áprayuchan | dyáuḥ pitár yāvaya duḥśúnā yā́ ||
For our prayer, come ye together, O Aśvins; aid us forth, guard us with wide protection, O wide-might, unfailing. O Heaven, our Father, drive away the evil-omen that assails.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (anonymous)
Devata: Aśvins; Dyauḥ Pitṛ (Heaven-Father)
Chandas: Mixed/irregular (appears as a longer pāda sequence; likely anuṣṭubh-derived with AV variation)
Primary: karuna
Secondary: shanta
