Sukta 39
यत्र॒ नाव॑प्र॒भ्रंश॑नं॒ यत्र॑ हि॒मव॑तः॒ शिरः॑ । तत्रा॒मृत॑स्य॒ चक्ष॑णं॒ ततः॒ कुष्ठो॑ अजायत । स कुष्ठो॑ वि॒श्वभे॑षजः सा॒कं सोमे॑न तिष्ठति । त॒क्मानं॒ सर्वं॑ नाशय॒ सर्वा॑श्च यातुधा॒न्यः
yátra nā́va-prabhraṃ́śanaṃ yátra himávataḥ śíraḥ | tatrā́mṛ́tasya cákṣaṇaṃ tatáḥ kúṣṭho ajāyata | sá kúṣṭho viśvá-bheṣajaḥ sā́kaṃ sómena tiṣṭhati | takmā́naṃ sárvaṃ nāśaya sárvāś ca yātudhānyàḥ
Where is the ship’s slipping-down, where the head of Himavat—there is the visible station of Immortality: thence Kuṣṭha was born. That Kuṣṭha, the universal remedy, standeth together with Soma. Destroy thou every fever, and all the Yātudhānī witches.
ที่ซึ่งเรือไถลตกลง ที่ซึ่งยอดแห่ง Himavat (หิมวัต ภูเขาหิมะ) — ที่นั่นมีที่ตั้งอันมองเห็นได้ของอมฤต (ความไม่ตาย); จากที่นั่น Kuṣṭha (กุษฐะ สมุนไพร) ได้บังเกิด Kuṣṭha นั้นเป็นยาสากล ยืนอยู่ร่วมกับ Soma (โสมะ) จงทำลายไข้ทั้งปวง และจงกำจัดนางยาตุธานี (Yātudhānī) ผู้เป็นแม่มดทั้งสิ้น
