उ॒रू॒ण॒साव॑सु॒तृपा॑वुदुम्ब॒लौ य॒मस्य॑ दू॒तौ च॑रतो॒ जनां॒ अनु॑ । ताव॒स्मभ्यं॑ दृ॒शये॒ सूर्या॑य॒ पुन॑र्दाता॒मसु॑म॒द्येह भ॒द्रम्

urūṇasā́u vasutṛ́pāu udumbalā́u yámasya dūtáu carato jánāṃ ánu | tā́v asmábhyaṃ dṛśáye sū́ryāya púnar dātām ásum adyéhá bhadrám

Broad-nosed, well-content with goodly store, udumbara-marked—Yama’s two messengers—these roam, following after men. Let those two, for us, give back for sight, for the Sun, the life-breath again—this day, here—auspicious good.

ผู้มีจมูกกว้าง ผู้พอใจด้วยทรัพย์อันดี ผู้มีเครื่องหมายอุทุมพละ (udumbara)—ทูตทั้งสองของยมะ (Yama)—ย่อมเที่ยวไปตามผู้คน. ขอทูตทั้งสองนั้นจงคืนให้แก่พวกเรา: การเห็น เพื่อสุริยะ (Sūrya) และคืนลมหายใจ (asu) อีกครั้ง—ในวันนี้ ณ ที่นี้—ให้เกิดความดีอันเป็นมงคล.
