Sukta 8.96
त्वं ह त्यद्वृषभ चर्षणीनां घनो वृत्राणां तविषो बभूथ । त्वं सिन्धूँरसृजस्तस्तभानान्त्वमपो अजयो दासपत्नीः ॥
tváṃ ha tyád vṛṣabha carṣaṇīnā́ṃ ghanó vṛtrā́ṇāṃ taviṣó babhūtha | tváṃ síndhūṃr asṛjas tastabhā́nān tvám apó ajayo dāsápatnīḥ ||
ఓ వృషభా! నీవు ప్రజల అధిపతిగా, అడ్డుపడువారైన వృత్రులను ఛేదించే ఘనుడై, మహాబలంతో ప్రకాశించావు. బంధింపబడిన నదులను నీవు విడుదల చేసావు; దాసునికి సేవకై చేసిన (దాసపత్నీ) అపః—జలశక్తులను—నీవు జయించావు.
