महे नो अद्य सुविताय बोध्युषो महे सौभगाय प्र यन्धि । चित्रं रयिं यशसं धेह्यस्मे देवि मर्तेषु मानुषि श्रवस्युम् ॥
mahé no adyá suvitā́ya bodhy uṣo mahé sáubhagāya prá yandhi | citráṃ rayíṃ yaśásaṃ dhehy asmée devi márteṣu mā́nuṣi śravasyúm ||
ఈ రోజు మా కొరకు సువితాయ—సద్గతి, శుభ ప్రగతి—వైపు మేల్కొను, ఓ ఉషా; మహా సౌభాగ్యానికి మమ్మల్ని ముందుకు నడిపించు. ఓ దేవి, మా లో చిత్ర రయి—దీప్తిమంతమైన సంపద—యశస్సు కలిగించేది—నిలుపు; మానవుల మధ్య, మర్త్యుల లోకంలో, మమ్మల్ని శ్రవస్యు—ఉన్నత ‘శ్రవస్’/ప్రేరిత కీర్తిని కోరువారు—గా చేయుము.
