Transliteration

ajyeṣṭhāso akaniṣṭhāsa ete saṃ bhrātaro vāvṛdhuḥ saubhagāya | yuvā pitā svapā rudra eṣāṃ sudughā pṛśniḥ sudinā marudbhyaḥ ||

Translation

ఈ (మరుతులు) ‘జ్యేష్ఠులు’ కూడా కాదు, ‘కనిష్ఠులు’ కూడా కాదు; సోదరులవలె సౌభాగ్యవృద్ధి కోసం కలిసి పెరిగారు. వీరి తండ్రి సదా-యువుడు—స్వపాః (స్వయంసిద్ధ కార్యశక్తి గల) రుద్రుడు; వీరి తల్లి పృశ్ని సుదుఘా (సమృద్ధిగా ప్రసవించే/ఇచ్చే)—మరుతులకు సుదిన (శుభ దీప్త దినం) తెచ్చేది.
