तद्वीर्यं वो मरुतो महित्वनं दीर्घं ततान सूर्यो न योजनम् । एता न यामे अगृभीतशोचिषोऽनश्वदां यन्न्ययातना गिरिम् ॥

tád vī́ryaṁ vo maruto mahitvánam dī́rghaṁ tatāna sū́ryo ná yójanam | etā́ ná yā́me agṛ́bhīta-śociṣo'naśvadā́m yán nyáyātanā girím ||

హే మరుతులారా! ఇదే మీ వీర్యబలం, మీ మహత్త్వం—సూర్యుని దీర్ఘంగా విస్తరించే పథంలా దూరం వరకు వ్యాపించేది. ఇట్లే, అగ్రభీత-శోచిష్ (అవరోధరహిత జ్వాల) ధరించి మీరు మీ యామం (యాత్ర)లో సాగారు; అశ్వాలు లేకుండానే, మీ దీప్త సంకల్పబలంతో మీరు గిరిపైకి దిగివచ్చారు.
