त्वामस्या व्युषि देव पूर्वे दूतं कृण्वाना अयजन्त हव्यैः । संस्थे यदग्न ईयसे रयीणां देवो मर्तैर्वसुभिरिध्यमानः ॥
tvā́m asyā́ vyùṣi deva pū́rve dūtáṃ kṛṇvānā́ ayajanta havyáiḥ | saṃsthé yád agna ī́yase rayīṇā́ṃ devó martáir vásubhir idhyámānaḥ ||
ఈ ఉషఃప్రభాతంలో, హే దేవా, పూర్వులు నిన్ను దూతగా చేసి హవ్యాలతో యజించారు. హే అగ్నీ, రయుల స్థిరాసనంలో నీవు సంచరించినప్పుడు—మర్త్యులు వసువులు (శుభ ద్రవ్యాలు) తో నిన్ను ప్రజ్వలింపజేసిన వేళ—దేవుడు మానవ పాత్రలో ప్రకాశించి దీప్తిమంతుడవుతాడు.
