Sukta 4.2
अकर्म ते स्वपसो अभूम ऋतमवस्रन्नुषसो विभातीः । अनूनमग्निं पुरुधा सुश्चन्द्रं देवस्य मर्मृजतश्चारु चक्षुः ॥
ákarm te svápaso abhūma ṛtám avasrann uṣáso vi-bhātī́ḥ | anū́nam agníṃ purudhā́ su-candrám devásya marmṛ́jataś cā́ru cákṣuḥ ||
హే అగ్నీ, మేము నీ స్వపస్ (సుకార్యం) చేయువారమయ్యాము; విభాతీ ఉషస్సులు ఋతం (సత్య-నియమం)ను పొంగించి ప్రకాశించాయి. అనేక విధాలుగా వారు అగ్నిని అనూన (నిర్దోష)గా, సుచంద్ర (సుందర-ప్రకాశ)గా చేశారు; దేవుని చారు చక్షు—అగ్ని-దృష్టిని—వారు మర్మృజత, అంటే మెరిపించి శుద్ధి చేస్తారు.
