Sukta 4.12
महश्चिदग्न एनसो अभीक ऊर्वाद्देवानामुत मर्त्यानाम् । मा ते सखायः सदमिद्रिषाम यच्छा तोकाय तनयाय शं योः ॥
maháś cid agne énaso abhī́ka ūrvā́d devā́nām utá mártyānām | mā́ te sakhā́yaḥ sádham íd riṣāma yácchā tokā́ya tánayāya śáṃ yóḥ ||
హే అగ్నీ! పాపపు మహా సమీపం నుండికూడా—దేవులు, మానవులు సంచరించే ఆ విశాల ప్రదేశం నుండికూడా—నీ సఖులమైన మేము ఏ హానినీ పొందకుండుగాక. మా బాలునికీ, మా సంతతికీ శాంతి మరియు క్షేమమయ సుఖాన్ని ప్రసాదించు.
