असूत पूर्वो वृषभो ज्यायानिमा अस्य शुरुधः सन्ति पूर्वीः । दिवो नपाता विदथस्य धीभिः क्षत्रं राजाना प्रदिवो दधाथे ॥
ásūta pū́rvo vṛṣabhó jyā́yān imā́ asya śurúdhaḥ santi pūrvī́ḥ | dívo napātā vidáthasya dhībhíḥ kṣatráṁ rājānā prádivo dadhāthe ||
మొదట ఆ జ్యేష్ఠ వృషభుడు (బలశక్తి) జన్మించాడు; అతని శక్తి యొక్క ఈ అనేక ధారలు ఆద్యమైనవి, ప్రాచీనమైనవి. ఓ ఇద్దరు రాజులారా, ద్యౌ నపాతలారా, యజ్ఞంలో ధీ-దర్శనాల ద్వారా మీరు ఆ క్షత్రం—సార్వభౌమ సామర్థ్యాన్ని—ధరిస్తారు; అది ప్రకాశమయ స్వర్గమైన ‘ప్రదివ’ నుండి వచ్చేది.
