Sukta 2.23
तेजिष्ठया तपनी रक्षसस्तप ये त्वा निदे दधिरे दृष्टवीर्यम् । आविस्तत्कृष्व यदसत्त उक्थ्यं बृहस्पते वि परिरापो अर्दय ॥
téjiṣṭhayā tapanī́ rakṣásaḥ tapa yé tvā nidé dadhiré dṛṣṭávīryam | āvís tát kṛṣva yád ásat te ukthyàm bṛ́haspate ví parirā́po ardaya ||
ఓ బృహస్పతే! నీ అత్యంత తీక్ష్ణంగా దహించే తపనీ (తప్త) తేజస్సుతో, నీ ప్రత్యక్ష వీర్యాన్ని తెలిసికూడా నిన్ను నిందలో నిలిపిన రాక్షస అంధకార శక్తులను దహించు. మా లో ఇంకా అసత్లా అప్రకటంగా ఉన్న, ఉక్థ్య (స్తుత్య)మైన దానిని స్పష్టంగా వెలికి తీయి; చుట్టుముట్టి దాడిచేసే ఆపత్తులను నలిపి దూరం తరిమివేయి.
