Sukta 1.169
त्वे राय इन्द्र तोशतमाः प्रणेतारः कस्य चिदृतायोः । ते षु णो मरुतो मृळयन्तु ये स्मा पुरा गातूयन्तीव देवाः ॥
tvé rā́ya indra tośátamāḥ praṇetā́raḥ kásya cid ṛtāyóḥ | té ṣú ṇo marúto mṛḷayantu yé smā purā gātūyántīva devā́ḥ ||
ఓ ఇంద్రా! నీలోనే రయులు (సంపదలు) అత్యంత తృప్తికరమైనవి; ‘ఋత’ (సత్య-నియమం) మార్గాల్లో నడిచేవారికి నీవు మార్గనాయకుడు. కాబట్టి మరుతులు మాపై కరుణ చూపుగాక—పూర్వకాలం నుంచే మార్గాలను వెదికి నిర్మించువారిలా ఉన్న ఆ దేవులు.
