ఈ మూడు ఋచల చిన్న సూక్తం ‘దూరం’ నుంచే వైశ్వానర అగ్నిని గృహ/యజ్ఞ పరిధిలోకి ఆహ్వానిస్తుంది. సక్రమంగా నిర్మితమైన స్తుతికి ఆయన సమీపించమని, అలాగే ఆంహస్ (విపత్తు/కష్టం) క్షణాల్లో ప్రత్యక్షంగా నిలిచి రక్షించమని ప్రార్థిస్తుంది. అగ్ని ఇక్కడ రక్షకుడిగానే కాక, స్తోమం మరియు ఉక్థం యొక్క అంతర్గత నిర్వాహకుడిగా చిత్రితమవుతాడు; వాటి సరైన క్రమీకరణం ద్వారా ద్యుమ్నం (ప్రభ), స్వః (దివ్య కాంతి), మరియు ఆర్యమన్ యొక్క స్థిరమైన అనుగ్రహం లభిస్తాయని చెప్పుతుంది.

వైశ్వానర. మా ఊతికి వైశ్వానర దూరం నుండికూడా ఇక్కడికి, ముందుకు వచ్చుగాక. అగ్ని మా సుసంఘటిత స్తుతుల సమీపానికి రాగాక.

वै॒श्वा॒न॒रो न आग॑मदि॒मं य॒ज्ञं स॒जूरुप॑ । अ॒ग्निरु॒क्थेष्वंह॑सु
వైశ్వానరుడు మా వద్దకు, ఏకమనస్సుతో, ఈ యజ్ఞానికి వచ్చెను. సంకటము, కష్టకాలములో అగ్ని ఉక్థములలో (uktha) సన్నిహితంగా ఉంటాడు.

वै॒श्वा॒न॒रोऽङ्गि॑रसां॒ स्तोम॑मु॒क्थं च॑ चाक्लृपत्। ऐषु॑ द्यु॒म्नं स्वऽर्यमत्
వైశ్వానరుడు అంగిరసుల కొరకు స్తోమమును మరియు ఉక్థమును (uktha)—రెండింటినీ విధివిధానంగా సక్రమపరచెను. వీటిలోనే అతడు తేజస్సును స్థాపించెను—దివ్యప్రకాశమును, అర్యమన్ అనుగ్రహమును పొందెను.
