Sukta 20
पूर्वो॑ दुन्दुभे॒ प्र व॑दासि॒ वाचं॒ भूम्याः॑ पृ॒ष्ठे व॑द॒ रोच॑मानः । अ॒मि॒त्र॒से॒नाम॑भि॒जञ्ज॑भानो द्यु॒मद् व॑द दुन्दुभे सू॒नृता॑वत्
pū́rvo dundubhé prá vadāsi vā́caṃ bhū́myāḥ pṛṣṭhé vada rócamānaḥ | amitra-sénām abhí jañjabhāno dyumád vada dundubhe sūnṛ́tā-vat ||
Foremost, O Drum, thou sendest forth thy voice; upon the earth’s back sound thou, shining. Crushing the enemy host, speak gloriously, O Drum—speak with auspicious, truth-possessing utterance.
ఓ దుందుభి! నీవు అగ్రగామిగా నీ వాణి (ధ్వని)ని వెలువరించుచున్నావు; భూమి పృష్ఠముపై ప్రకాశిస్తూ మ్రోగుము. శత్రుసేనను నలిపి, ఓ దుందుభి, ద్యుమంతమైన వాక్యము పలుకు—మంగళకరమైన, సత్యసంపన్నమైన (సూనృతా) వాణిని పలుకు.
