ఓ ఇంద్రా! నీవు త్రిధాతు (మూడు విధాలుగా దృఢంగా స్థాపితమైన) శరణం; త్రివరూథం (మూడు పొరల కోట/రక్షాకవచం) కలవాడు; స్వస్తిమంతుడు. ఓ మఘవన్! దానశీలులకును నాకును నీ ఆవరణం—రక్షాకవచాన్ని—ప్రదానం చేయుము; మరియు మా దగ్గర నుండి దిద్యుమేభ్యః (మెరుపులా మెరుస్తూ) శత్రువులను దూరం చేయుము.

గోసంపదను కోరే మనస్సుతో శత్రువును దాడి చేసి, ధైర్యంతో అతనిని కొట్టి పడేసేవారు ఉన్నారు—ఓ మఘవన్ ఇంద్ర, గిర్వణస్ (స్తుతి-ప్రియుడా)! అప్పుడు మా కొరకు నీవు తనూపా (దేహ-రక్షకుడు)గా, అత్యంత సమీప రక్షకుడవై ఉండుము.
